Art passed away on March 29, 2014 after a brief battle with bone cancer. Art brightened the lives of those who knew him. He knew the value of a kind deed and friendship. He leaves behind his wife, Thais, brother, David, four children: Joan Spicer, Diane, Mike (Nan), and Ron (Mindi) Winstanley, and loving grandchildren.
