Dear Family of Tom Halford-
Tom and Critter Sitter took great care of our kitties for many years- since we moved from Canton to lower Catonsville around 9 years ago. I was saddened to hear of his passing. He was a lovely man and an animal lover and a wonderful, trustworthy critter sitter. We would always look forward to his letter waiting for us when we returned from a trip telling us our "babies" were fine while were were away and the little envelope with the paw prints all over them. 
He will be missed, and is remembered fondly by us, and likely all of his clients (both two legged and four legged).
My husband Paul and I offer our deepest sympathies.

Tom will be missed by many - sharing endless love with family & the 4 legged variety  ~ oh and since the 1970's that 1 of a kind SMILE!  Sending up prayer for all of you

Tommy was a very special person. I spent many hours in lively conversation with him, I will miss that...and he was like a brother to my husband for the first half of their lives. He was Best Man for our wedding. George spoke extremely highly of him...always. Tommy adored, and was very proud of, his children For that reason alone my special thoughts and prayers are for them. He was good karma...positive energy...a light went out in the world.

I am very sorry to hear about Tom. He came twice a week to walk our beloved CoCo for a little over a year. He was not only our "dog walker" but also a friend. We will all miss him, especially CoCo.

Tom became a part of our family the first time we all met. We could talk to him about anything, and before we knew it an hour or so had gone by. Tom helped tame our dogs Buddy and Bayer and offered support when they had to begin their next journey. Tom came to the service for my Mother and Sister in November and always had a kind word or different perspective on the problems we have had.Our grandsons adored him, and his name was one of the first they spoke.
  We were looking forward to the work for BARCS he had planned for this spring in Ellicott City. Our parrot loved the music he played on one visit.
   Tom was such a positive person who deeply loved his family and friends. He seemed to have a great time wherever he went and seemed to know someone there. I wonder how many people he has been talking to in heaven.

Tom, so sorry for you loss.  Stay strong and keep the faith.  We will keep you all in our prayers.

My last memory of Big Tom is a great one. He and Grant kindly invited me to join them for a father/son breakfast the morning of Artscape in Baltimore just a few short months ago. We had an amazing meal, Tom shared some hilarious stories of when he was our age and then we spent hours walking around mid-town checking out all of the fantastic art at the festival. I had recently gotten a puppy so Tom was giving me pointers on how to train her. It's a day I'll never forget with a couple of guys that are absolutely unforgettable. Wishing the best for the entire Halford clan during this difficult time. Cheers.

Sean,Grant,Thomas,Erica & Billy, I am so sorry that I can't be there for the services. I will never forget Tommy and those massive oyster feeds and the good times I had with him and Billy at Kleins Bar back when I first met Jane.

I have so many fond memories of the Halford Family that dates back to 1987!!!  I am truly a better person to have spent the amount of time, that I was able to spend, growing up with the family.  I can not Thank You guys enough for the generousity over the years!!!!  Love, Chris Coberth and Family

We are so sorry for your loss.  Tom has taken care of our babies, Max and Duke until their passing with Duke in 2008 and Max, suddenly, just last July.  Whenever we went away Tom would come over and do the duties and play with them.  After Max's passing in July we could not be without a dog.  We decided to rescue one.  We have never done that before.  Duke and Max were 'kinda-of' adopted; but we knew the source.  Well, we went to BARCS and we found DAX.  Called Tom when we were having issues (big Issues).  He made an emergency visit.  It is because of him that Dax is now maybe 75% good boy.  Tom is really really going to be missed by all.  He even said he was scaling down his house visits to spend more time with the Grand-Babies!
