On May 15, 2022; Margaret (Peggy) E. Norman passed away. She was born in Baltimore and spent her childhood in Hyattsville MD. Her father worked for a local pharmacist and Leland Hospital and her mother worked for the University of Maryland and was a competitive golfer.
Peggy graduated from Northwestern High School where she was a gymnast and created life long friendships with Betty Rounsaville, Brooke Kendal and Nancy Stafford. Peggy spent her summers with her sister, Dee Dee at Indian Landing Boat club where she met her first husband and became a working mom. She worked at the Board of Education in Annapolis and for a local water treatment and bottled water company as VP and controller for over 25 years before retiring.
Peggy was an avid sailor when she met and married Thomas V Norman and after his death John McBee. She was a resident of the Charlestown Community in Catonsville for over 14 years. It was here that William Armstrong began courting her while playing Bocchi Ball. She enjoyed stamping, quilting, photography, working for the gala and being treasure of the woodworking club.
