On May 18, 2022; KERMIT RAY SMITH passed away. He is the beloved husband of the late Peggy Ruth Smith; loving father of Denise Rae Shower and husband Joe Goddard, Lea Rene Asbury, and the late Jennifer Raelle Smith; cherished grandfather of Ashley Renee Asbury and Christopher Scott Shower; devoted friend of Laura Mynaugh and her daughter, Jacqueline Mynaugh; dear brother of the late Donna Lou Akers, Danny Lee Smith, Alan Brent Gould; uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 11 from 10:30-11AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2100 Westchester Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228; with a funeral service following at 11AM. Arrangements by Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to Maryland SPCA Inc., 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21211.
