On November 8, 2017 Joseph J. Liberto of Catonsville, MD, loving son of the late Dora M. Liberto and Joseph A. Liberto, preceded in death by brother Samuel Liberto, survived by nieces, Lynn Heise and Dorothea Harrison; cousins, Robert K. and Robert V. Meushaw; and loving godson, Chad D. Meushaw. Joe proudly served in the Army during WWII and had a long career at the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, MD. He and his parents were residents of his home in Academy Heights, Catonsville for over 70 years. Joe and his family operated a well-known fruit and vegetable business at Lexington Market for four decades. He was an avid bowler and loved casino day trips to with his many friends. He was a faithful member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.
Family will receive friends at Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228 on Nov. 14 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5442 Old Frederick Rd., Baltimore, MD 21228 on Nov. 15 at 10am. Interment will be at New Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
