John I. Davis

On December 20, 2022; John I. Davis went to be with his Lord and Savior. He is the beloved husband of Sara B. Davis, MD (née Pazmiño); loving father of Jessie Lynn Pulsipher (Brent Pulsipher, II); devoted grandfather of Angelina and Brent Pulsipher, III; and dear brother of Joy Davis Little.

John is preceded in death by his parents Glenn Davis Sr. and Flossie Davis and by siblings Florence Davis Hansen, Glenn “Jid” Davis Jr., Nancy Davis (who died in childhood), and Janet Davis Hatfield Beutler. He was the second of six children, born May 4, 1934 in Salem, Oregon. John graduated from Salem Senior High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts from George Fox College. He lived in Silver Spring, MD for 28 years and Catonsville, MD the last five. He worked for the Federal Government until retiring in 2000. John was a faithful Christian and member of Catonsville Baptist Church.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 13 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228. A funeral service will be held 10AM, Saturday, January 14 at the funeral home and interment in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville at 1PM. A post-burial lunch reception follows, which relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
