Elizabeth Jeanne "Betty" Ruppel, age 93, of Ellicott City, Maryland passed away after a long illness on Monday, April 4, 2022. Elizabeth was born December 7, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Sr. and Clara Ruppel.
After graduating from high at the Institute of Notre Dame in 1946, she enrolled at the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1949, upon graduation Ms. Ruppel was employed at Mercy Hospital as a Registered Nurse and Supervisor until her retirement in 1995.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Ferdinand and Carole Ruppel and her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Daniel Hume. In addition, she is also survived by six nieces and nephews, thirteen great nieces and nephews and four great-great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday April 11, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm at the funeral home.
A funeral mass will held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday April 12, at St. William of York Catholic Church, 600 Cooks Lane, Baltimore. Interment will follow at Lorraine Park Cemetery, Baltimore.
