Celis Margarita Sam

Celis Margarita Sam (1963- 2024) went to be with her Lord surrounded by her family on 2/22/2024 after a brave battle against cancer. She dedicated her life to serving others for over 20 years as an oncology nurse and later as a Nurse Practitioner at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

She faithfully served her church, community and community members and was a dedicated and cherished daughter, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her mother Concepcion Sam, of Baltimore, Maryland, and her siblings and their families and cousins. Maria Sam (sister) and her husband Paul Malinda in North Carolina and their children: Anne Malinda, James Malinda, his wife Dominique and their children Liam and Thomas. Benjamin Malinda and his wife Samantha and their daughter Lucy. Laybaa Sam (sister) in Atlanta, Georgia and her daughters Isabela Hernandez and Carina Hernandez and her husband Ethan Graham. Ramon Sam (brother) in Cary, North Carolina and his wife Lizbet Sam and their children Nataliah, Caleb and Caitlin. Jimmy Sam (brother) in Baltimore, Maryland and Emma Sam (sister) in Denver, Colorado

A funeral service for Celis will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Grace Bible Baptist Church, 1518 Rolling Road, Catonsville, MD 21228. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at 1:15 PM at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E. Padonia Rd., Timonium, MD 21093. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her the American Cancer Society.
