William graduated from college with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. He spent over 19 years in the U.S. Navy, where he earned the rank of a Chief Quartermaster and traveled around the world visiting 5 continents. He proudly served in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
William was predeceased by his wife of 24 years, Dorothy Tessier, and his daughter, Jamie Kelly. He is survived by his partner of 20 years, Irene Henning, and his children, Irene Chavez; Edith Kelly and her husband, Brian Daily; William F. Kelly II and his wife, Mary Kelly; and Colleen Page and her husband, Michael Page; ten grandchildren Edgard Corea, William Corea, Bridget Corea, Alejandro Chavez, John Grathwohl, Caitlyn Grathwohl, Brianna Kelly, Katherine Kelly, Alexander Page and Michael Page; seven great-grandchildren, Makenna Corea, Brooklyn Corea, Harper Corea, Owen Gorman, Avery Gorman, Adelyn Wiman, Grayson Wiman; his sister, Delia Catherine (Kelly) Sables and many nieces and nephews.
William was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. He cherished his Irish heritage and enjoyed family events and reunions where he would share many stories of his youth and his eventful Navy career.
In his Golden years he was a member of the American Legion and volunteered at the Castle Rock Senior Center as the Transportation Manager.
