Theresa Louise Walker was born June 28, 1932 in Denver, Colorado. She was the sixth of eight children born to Emiteria (Emma) Borquez and Ignacio (IG) Marquez. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and graduated from Annunciation High School in Denver.
She married Dennis McGarrity in 1968, they had one son, Troy McGarrity. She was later married to Dale Walker.
Teri worked for Optometrists in the Denver and Aurora area. Her love of children led her to home child care, this brought great joy to her life.
Her last years were spent at Marycrest Assisted Living in Denver. In September she was transferred to Brookside Inn Nursing facility in Castle Rock to recover from a leg fracture. While there she contracted Covid-19. On November 22nd she tested positive and passed on November 27th.
Teri is survived by her son Troy, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her surviving siblings, Tom Marquez and Barbara Hendrix, numerous nieces, nephews, their spouses, multiple grand nieces and nephews. All of whom loved her dearly, and cared for her all of her life.
The memories are endless and remind us of how much she meant to our family. We hope that you will share thoughts, memories and photos on this obituary site. We are not able to gather as friends and family due to Covid restrictions but we would welcome hearing from everyone.
Please take comfort in knowing that she received anointing of the sick three days before she passed into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.
