Sam graduated from Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado and began working with his dad at Cronen Plumbing and Heating where he went on to earn his master plumbing license. He realized a longtime dream of owning the business in April of 2023 when he purchased it upon his dad’s retirement.
Sam was a lifelong learner who spent time reading and watching documentaries on many different subjects and he loved passing on his knowledge on to his friends and family. Some of his favorite times were those spent going to the lake with his family from the time he was little and then being able to share that love with his children. He would drive the boat for hours, listening to music and tubing and skiing with the kids.
Although born in Colorado, Sam cherished time with extended family in South Dakota where both of his parents were raised. He especially loved being at the Miner family farm.
Above all else, Sam loved being a dad.
He is survived and deeply missed by his two young children, Jackson Miner Cronen, and Kendall Irene Cronen; the mother of his children, Brittany Cronen; his parents Mary and Joe Cronen; sisters Laura (Richard) Cronen Smith and their children Payson and Maggie; Amy (Joe) Covell and their children Joe and Scarlett; Julie (Scott) Bolton and their children Lucy and Henry; brother Donny (Lindsey) Cronen and their children Lucas and Logan; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that all meant a great deal to him including lifelong friend Jason Kennedy.
