Paul Lewis Cecil, the youngest of six sons born to James Robert Cecil and Alma Grace Cecil on September 18, 1936 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, died July 8, 2017 in Castle Rock, CO after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Anne, his two children, Leslie Grace Cecil of Nacogdoches, TX and John Holmes Cecil (Laura) of Parker, CO, and seven grandchildren: A.J., Madison, Easton, Brooke, Ellie, Annie, and Tymber.
Paul was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School and Bowling Green State University where he earned a B.A. in English. He was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity, the Spanish National Honor Society, and Sigma Tau Delta. After graduation, he taught secondary school English and Spanish in Ohio, Colorado Springs, and Denver. After his teaching tenure, he was a business owner in Castle Rock until his retirement in 1997.
He was a generous, kind, honest, and sincere person who enjoyed life and will be deeply missed.
As per his wishes, there will be no funeral.
