Mildred “Millie” was born Dec 14, 1931 in Lemon, Pennsylvania to Jay and Ethel Clark. She graduated from Tunkhannock High School, and married Elvin Williams June 10, 1949.
Millie and Elvin lived in Pennsylvania, and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma before making their home in Castle Rock, in 1964. Millie worked as a bookkeeper for Mason’s Auto Parts and Tri Con Kent in Castle Rock. She also worked alongside her husband building homes that they would live in for a few years sell and build another home. Millie always said this kept them both out of trouble!
Millie and Elvin loved to go dancing to country music every Saturday night. As well as putting on the camper on the pickup and traveling. Millie loved stories of the “Old West” and she and Elvin built a cabin in a small town in Noxon Montana that reminded her of some the stories she read about Sacagawea. She loved to paint, garden, and bake, there was always fresh baked cookies and pies at her house.
In 2002 Millie lost the love of life Elvin to cancer. Millie would continue to live in the last home the two built together in Larkspur. She continued working in her garden, and baking all the wonderful cookies and pies.
In 2007 Millie was blessed to find the second love of her life when a Bill Baker strolled into her life. They enjoyed traveling and going up the hill to Cripple Creek to do a little gambling.
We were all blessed to have had Millie in our lives she will be greatly missed, but know she is at peace and will no longer be in pain.
