Michaela Nicole King

Born on April 21st, 1995, on a cold spring day and left this world on an equally cold day December 17th, 2022.

She came into the world on her own terms, breech, stubborn, and unwilling to leave the comfort of her growing place. She had to be removed via C-section and peed on the doctors for taking her out of her warm comfy home.

Michaela was a pickle connoisseur, an avid lover of games, and an Uno champion. She was a wordsmith who loved to read and write. She had a keen eye for design, making all things around her beautiful. Michaela was an Olympic sleeper and could find the most peculiar places to crash out. Her laugh was contagious, and her sense of humor was ever present. Together with her mother, you could hear their laughter miles away.

Michaela was a Taurus through and through. She was a reliable and sensible soul. She knew when to have patience and when to be a defender. She was a fierce protector of her brother, and they shared an inseparable bond. Michaela is survived by a large family who adored her. To Michaela, family was everything.

We will remember Michaela for her chunky jewelry, exquisite rings, her empathetic nature, her love of turtles, her amazing gifts, how she always showed up for her friends and family, and the way she turned any situation into a moment for stand-up comedy and laughter, and her need for coffee, coffee, coffee.

Her calling was truly to help others, especially the 4-legged kind. Michaela served the animals she loved as an emergency veterinary technician for the last eight years, "a true job of the heart" she would say. She was the Mary Poppins of the vet world, always having the right thing in her bag of tricks, just like her granny.

Not all who wander are lost but if you do lose your way, try to find your sense of humor.
