James Edward Sundine

March 29, 1937 – December 20, 2022

James Edward Sundine, 85, of Castle Rock, CO, sadly passed away on December 20, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Bev, his daughter Allison, and his son Michael. He was preceded in death by his son Craig. James is also survived by eight grandchildren, Nathan, Candace, Tim, Lauren, Mica, Aidan, Chenoa, and Ellery. His mother, Ina, father, Harold, and brother, Martel, preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother Reed and nine nephews and nieces.

Jim graduated from Denver's South High School in 1955. He proudly served in the US Navy and graduated from Montana State University in Billings with a degree in accounting. He spent his career working as an accountant in the oil and gas business.

Jim will always be remembered for his many talents. Part of his essence was his curiosity and desire to learn. He volunteered with The Special Olympics and at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for over twenty years. He was fascinated with genealogy and spent countless hours piecing together his ancestry. He was devoted to his family and will always hold a place in our hearts.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on January 4, 2023, at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2746 Fifth St, Castle Rock, CO. The committal service for James will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4800 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80236.
