Flora M. Esslinger

Flo was a long time Florida resident having moved from Springfield, Illinois to Miami, Florida in 1950. In 1978 she retired with her husband (Bill Esslinger Sr.) and moved to Vero Beach, Florida where she has maintained a residence since that time.

Flo is survived by her son Bill Esslinger Jr (Marylew), two grandchildren Bret Esslinger (Stacie) and Lisa Esslinger and 3 great grandchildren Brody Esslinger, Walker Esslinger and Carina Esslinger.

She is also survived by 3 of her 8 siblings – brother Bill DiPasquale, sister Ange Barber, and sister Mary Smith. Not to mention her extended family of cousins, 41 nieces and nephews and large network of friends.

Flo is deeply loved by her family and she is deeply loved by everyone she knew and everyone she met. Everyone said that she was one of the finest people they had ever known. Surely, if there was a model for a modern day saint she would certainly be on the top of everyone’s list.

Please pray with us that God will send his angels to carry her to his side and provide a very special place for this very, very special woman.

We hope that you will be able to attend one of the funeral services in either Colorado or Florida to celebrate Flo’s life with her family. If you are not able to attend, please accept the deepest thanks from Flo’s family for the friendship and love you have shown her. And, please remember her in your prayers.

Since Flo spent a considerable amount of time in both Colorado and Florida, the family will have funeral services in both Colorado and Florida. This decision has been made in order to enable her family and friends to pay their last respects.

COLORADO

Thursday, January 24, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (2746 Fifth Street), Castle Rock, Colorado 80104 (303-688-3025).

Visitation 10 am, Rosary at 11 am and a Funeral Mass at noon followed by a reception at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Flo's name to, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church to benefit The Gathering group, 2746 Fifth Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104.

FLORIDA

Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. Helen Catholic Church (2085 Tallahassee Avenue), Vero Beach, Florida (772-567-5129).

Funeral services will be at 12 pm followed by an Intermit ceremony at Hill Crest Cemetery (Vero Beach, Florida). www.sthelenvb.weconnect.com
