Elizabeth (Libby) Anne Barnhill passed quietly in her Castle Rock, Colorado home on a beautiful, sunny Tuesday morning. She was surrounded by her loving family as she slowly transitioned from this world on September 13, 2022. Libby was a loving and devoted wife, step-mother, and step-grand-mother. At 54, she faced her illness resolute, determined, and fearless yet was unable to prevail and succumbed to liver failure. She was a strong, giving, and supportive military spouse and dedicated to her family. Her unwavering support spread across multiple locations as the family moved from Fort Polk, LA, Barksdale AFB, LA, Vandenberg AFB, CA, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI, and finally Buckley Space Force Base, CO. She will be deeply missed by her husband (Lee), step-daughters (Brittany and Lauren), grandson (Larith), step-father (Wayne Ray), and siblings (Hugh Curry, Stephen Ray, and Monica Ray Chapman). Libby always strongly believed in helping others by participating as an organ and tissue donor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Donor Alliance, Inc. of Denver Colorado or a local donor organization so they may continue to help those in need.
A Second Celebration of Life is scheduled and will be held in Louisiana on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Southern Occasions Event Center, 21730 E. Hwy 167, Dry Prong, LA 71423.
