Dennis was born on July 13th 1950 to Harold Sr and Minnie Hoffman in Oak Creek Colorado. Dennis graduated from Douglas County High School in 1968.
In 1968, he met Kathryn Webb of Sheridan Colorado while they both worked at Swedish Medical Center.
On August 1st 1970 they tied the knot, going on to have 2 children, Philip and Rebecca.
Like many young men, Dennis had a number of jobs throughout his professional career. Dennis always loved cars, and working on them was a favorite pastime. Dennis opened his auto body business called Connection Auto Body in Castle Rock Colorado in the early 80’s. His son Phil and father Harold would be seen down there helping out on many days of the week. It was a family ran business that’s for sure..
Dennis started working as a facility’s Operations Manager for the nonprofit organization Family Tree, as a way to serve those in need.
Dennis retired from Family Tree in 2015, he then spent his time with his wife Kathy and their poodle Sassy Frass. He also enjoyed as many moments he could get being with his 3 granddaughters. Dennis and Kathy would often go camping, riding ATV’s and making the trip “Up The hill” to Blackhawk or Cripple Creek.
As many knew Dennis had a passion for his Hawaiian print shirts. Many will remember him wearing a new one everyday to work to spread joy and make the cold winters a little “warmer” with Hawaiian style.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father Harold Sr (1988), his mother Minnie (2002) and oldest brother Harold Jr.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy of Castle Rock Co, son Phil (Debi) of Littleton Co, daughter Becky (Will) of Castle Rock Co, 3 granddaughters (Cami, Olivia and Ava) of Castle Rock Co, Sister Barbara (Larry) of De Soto Ks, Sister Bonnie (Ron) of Craig Co. Plus many nieces and nephews.
