Dean Edwin Castro

Dean E Castro, 57, passed away on July 11th, 2022. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ellen, and his sister Karen. He is survived by his wife Alicia and his three children, Christina, Richard, and Chris, and his grandchildren Daren, Austin, Christian, Hailey, and Alison, his stepfather Dave, and his sister Char.

Dean was born October 20, 1964 in Los Angeles, California. He spent many years of his life living in different places, including California, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Colorado. Out of all the places, Dean’s favorite place to live was where he grew up in Castle Rock, Colorado. After living in many different areas as an adult, Dean returned to Colorado, where he lived the last 18 years of his life.

Dean was lovingly married to his wife for 32 years, Alicia, whom he met on a vacation in Nicaragua. One of Dean’s favorite hobbies was learning about and working in tech, which became a career for him from his early adulthood until his passing. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan, watching intensely the entirety of every game he could. He loved all animals, from raccoons to alpacas, but he especially loved cats. He loved gardening and having a backyard full of trees, flowers, and birds. He also enjoyed “happy hour” every Friday with his co-workers. His life was filled with a love of life, surrounded by friends and family especially his wife, children, and cats, Spaz and Love.

A private family celebration of life will be held on July 22nd at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel, Castle Rock.
