Robby lived most of his life in North Platte and graduated from NPHS in 2006. He was incredibly bright and attained many academic awards in school. He attended the Nebraska scholars academy, was awarded trips to Duke University for mathematically and verbally gifted students, and to Cambridge University for the gifted and talented.
After highschool, Robby attended Mid Plains Community College for Electrical Technology, and an associates of science. Later he received a bachelors of computer science from Fort Hays University for Software Engineering.
He was an avid adventurer and lived for skydiving and base jumping. He received his skydiving license and was a member of the United States Parachute Association. He lived fast and loved hard.
His daughter Tayleigh was born in July 2011 and she was his entire world. It was beautiful watching him be a dad, it was his very best job and he loved every minute of it. The two of them were incredibly close and they were full of pranks and laughter. Robby may have had a hard exterior, but his daughter held his entire heart. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his daughter. They lived in Ogallala where Robby worked as an independent contractor for many years.
Robby was a complicated person. He was hard on life, and life was hard on him. We could all feel the pain in his heart which is why, no matter what he did, we loved him anyway. Robby liked to find the edge, and jump over it. He would leap first and ask questions later. He never quit, he never gave up, he burned the ships. There was absolutely no one like him in the world. He was magnificent. We will grieve your presence in our lives to the end of our days.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 1:00pm at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel 407 Jerry Street Castle Rock, CO 80104, with a reception to follow. Family visitation at the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of service.
