Anne Holmes Cecil, the daughter of John Martin Holmes and Florence Kellett Holmes, was born on April 1, 1943 in Pueblo, Colorado and died April 24, 2018 in Castle Rock, CO. She is survived by her two children, Leslie Grace Cecil of Nacogdoches, TX and John Holmes Cecil (Laura) of Parker, CO, and seven grandchildren: A.J., Madison, Easton, Brooke, Ellie, Annie, and Tymber.
Anne was a graduate of Central High School and Colorado College where she earned a B.A. in English. She was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. After graduation, she taught English at a private school in Colorado Springs. Following her teaching tenure, she was a business owner in Castile Rock until her retirement in 1997.
She was generous, always made time for her friends and family, loved her grandchildren, spring, and traveling. She will be deeply missed.
As per his wishes, there will be no funeral. Donations can be made in her honor to the American Diabetes Association.
