She was born on August 14, 1937 to Fidel and Rosalia Peña in Holguín, Cuba.
She married George MacKain on May 31, 1959, and they had two children, Mark and Liana.
Rosalba earned her degree in interior design and worked as a designer for many years. She also owned and ran her own travel agency. She traveled widely and enjoyed dancing, sewing, tending to her orchids, hosting parties, and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a vibrant force of nature who laughed often, spoke with everyone as if they were family, and made sure no one around her ever went hungry.
Rosalba is survived by her son, Mark MacKain and his wife Gina MacKain, her daughter, Liana Griffiths, her grandchildren, Hunter MacKain, Tyler MacKain, Austin MacKain and his wife Hannah MacKain, Shelby Cali and her husband James Cali, Sydney Griffiths and her husband Carlos Muñiz, and her great-grandchildren, Asher and Rowan MacKain, and Mia Cali.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, and her grandson, Nicky MacKain.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Dr, Winter Park FL 32789, with interment to follow.
