Eleanor Elizabeth Lawton, 90, died peacefully on Oct. 7, 2007. A private service is planned.Mrs. Lawton was born July 16, 1917 in Latrobe, Pa., to Sam and Nettie Strickler and had four sisters and a brother. She lived most of her life in Latrobe before moving to Maryland and then Florida. She came to Arizona after the death of her husband, Charles. She was known as a little lady with strong determination.Survivors include a daughter, Ellnetta Salazar; a son, George Palmer; two stepsons, Ed and Ken Lawton; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Taylor, and two granddaughters, Patricia J. Sprouse and Jill D. Grider.J.
