William “Bill” Martin Luther, 83, of Cary, passed away on October 8, 2014. Bill was born on July 10, 1931 in Chicago, IL to the late Arleigh and Clarice Luther and graduated from the University of MN with a degree in Journalism. After serving in the Korean War, he went on to become Vice President of Grey Advertising before venturing on his own as an entrepreneur. Bill was the author of seven marketing books, a worldwide marketing consultant, lecturer, building contractor and real estate agent.
Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, James Luther. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth, of Cary, NC; his children, Jeannie and husband Gary Fraser of Littleton, CO; Michael Luther of Cary, NC; Susan and husband Greg Rothermich of Sutton, MA; Ann and husband Chuck Leuth of Cary, NC; as well as ten grandchildren. Bill was known for his engaging and happy personality with a never-ending smile. He was generous, and devoted to helping others. Family was always his priority.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, October 25, at 10:00 am, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Rd, Cary, NC 27513. Immediately after mass, a committal service with Military Honors will follow at the church columbarium.
