Vernon Alex Arnold, 66, of Cary, died Tuesday, October 8th at Duke Regional Hospital.
Vernon was born October 21, 1946 in Wake County. He was a graduate of Cary High School and was employed with Capital Ford.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alex E. Arnold.
Vernon is survived by his son, Stephen Arnold and his wife, Sandra of Raleigh; mother, Janie Proctor Arnold of Cary; brother, Herbert Arnold of Myrtle Beach, SC; and grandchildren, Taylor and Dylan Arnold.
A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, October 11, 2013 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. Burial will follow the service at Pearce Baptist Church Cemetery in Zebulon. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday, October 10th and 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
