Steve Reed, our dear brother, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 and went to heaven the same day. Steve is now walking the streets of gold. Steve’s wife Nicole and two sons, Julian and Justin, survive him. Steve moved people to live life the way he did. In spite of cancer, he lived life by believing in the bright side of everything without giving cause to complain.
Steve served 20 years in the US Army as a cook. He served his fellow countrymen in the Bosnian War, the Somalian War and both Gulf Wars. After serving his country, he opened Edelweiss Café in downtown Selma and then in downtown Raleigh, and served the best German food in the world.
The memorial service will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, NC on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 2:00p.m.
Steve was 44 years old. Steve’s long bout with cancer did leave the family in need of financial support. To help the family, in lieu of flowers, please go to http://home4steve.org. May the Lord bless you.
