She was a Cleveland sports fan and loved her adopted Washington teams having a strong knowledge of most sports. “Jim Brown is the greatest running back, period.” Her love of sports was passed down to her children and grandchildren and it seemed that Gammy never missed a game or important event. While being competitive was important, good sportsmanship was a must. Respect your opponent and the game.” Many life lessons were passed down on the golf course and tennis court.
In later years, she was able to rekindle her love of horses. Sally and Paul raised and trained Grand Prix show jumpers rising to highest levels of the sport. In the mid 1990’s Sally served on the Board of Directors for the International Horse Show based in Washington, DC.
