Bob was born on August 7, 1926 in Buffalo, New York, to the late Lindsay and Elberta DeBardelaben.
Bob spent the better part of three decades as a disc jockey and later went on to become, as we all know him now, a weather anchor for WRAL TV 5. Upon his retirement in 1989, Bob could be found enjoying his free time on the golf course.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carole, of Cary; son Dean DeBardelaben (Cheryl) of Holly Springs; daughter Allison DeBardelaben of Cary; and two grandchildren, Mitchell and Nikki DeBardelaben. He was preceded in death by two of his children, R. Lind DeBardelaben and Robin C. DeBardelaben.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, 2014 at 2:00 pm at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, with a visitation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
