Richard Kelly Dreyer

Richard (Rick) Dreyer, 47, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023 at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh, NC following a long illness. Rick was born in Pleasant Valley, NY and moved with his family to Ramsey, NJ and then to Cary, NC.

He is survived by his mother, Kathleen (née Kelly) Dreyer, his brother, Gregg and sister-in-law, Evelyn (née Lozada) Dreyer, his niece, Esme and nephews Declan and Finnley Dreyer. He was predeceased by his father, Richard F. Dreyer, his maternal grandparents, Senator William F. & Catherine Kelly of Jersey City, NJ and his paternal grandparents, J. Herbert & Anne Dreyer of Cliffside Park, NJ.

Rick attended Ramsey High School in NJ and graduated from Apex High School in Apex, NC.

The only things Rick loved more than riding 4-Wheelers and motorcycles were his friends and family. He will be missed by a large contingent of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and riding buddies.

A visitation for Richard will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 Southeast Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.

Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, September 17; 1-4pm at a relatives home in North Haledon, NJ.

In lieu of flowers the family would be honored if you made a donation to Transitions Life Care or a charity of your choice.
