Ray Earl Plymyer, 90, formerly of Reading, PA, died on June 16, 2017 in Cary, NC. Ray graduated from Wilson High School and Penn State. Following that, he attended and received his medical degree from George Washington University Medical School. He went on to serve in the US Army as a medical doctor from 1954-1956. For many years, Ray served the Reading, PA community as an allergist and immunologist. He was also a devoted member of the Advent Lutheran Church.
Ray is survived by his wife, Goria Tobias Plymyer; two sons, Robert Plymyer of Tucson, AZ and Matthew Plymyer of Cary, NC; daughter, Kate Strohl of Homosassa, FL; three grandchildren, John Wojtowicz, Mark Wojtowicz and Bailey Plymyer; and great grandson, Tobias Wojtowicz.
Services for Ray will be held at a later date.
