He was born September 21, 1940 in New York City, NY a son of Joseph and Honora Murphy Galvin. Mr. Galvin retired from the New York City Police Department as a Lieutenant. Patrick moved to Raleigh in 1985 and shortly thereafter opened Galvin Detective Agency.
He is survived by his son, James Galvin and wife, Randy, of Charlotte, and three daughters, Kay-Frances Brody and husband, Dr. Michael Brody, of Cary, Barbara Green and husband, Cliff Green, of Asheville and Kerry Galvin of Jacksonville, his brothers, Thomas Galvin of Raleigh, Richard Galvin, and wife Eileen, of Princeton Junction, NJ and sister Marian Wassel, and husband Cliff Wassel, of Peck Lake, NY. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, Drew, Connor and Kathryn Brody of Cary, Scout and Ruby Green of Asheville, Riley, Bo and Smith Galvin of Charlotte and Kyler Vincent of Jacksonville.
The family invites friends to come celebrate Patrick’s life at a wake in the Brody’s home, 209 Lindemans Dr., Cary N.C. from 6:30-9:00 on Thursday, September 22. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary.
