Born in New York, Tricia graduated from Monroe Woodbury High School and attended college at FIT in Florida. She then moved to Raleigh NC where she raised her family. Tricia was a cardiac care nurse and later taught occupational health to high school students at Southern Durham High School. She got great joy from sharing her passion.
Tricia cherished her family, friends and past students. In addition to nursing, she was involved with the local scouting program and is a former director of the Impeesa District Cub Scout Day Camp. She loved to read and could eloquently express herself through her writing. Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life. Tricia’s bright laughter and wit will be missed the most.
Survivors include her two sons, Kevin Cooke of Charlotte (Kaily), Kyle Cooke of Raleigh; grandchildren, Whittman Cooke and Lennon Cooke both of Charlotte, sisters Linda Finn (Larry) and Lori Sands (Jerry) and many nieces and nephews.
