Patricia Marie Boltin Basham, 78 of Cary, NC passed into heaven on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Rex Rehab and Nursing Care Center of Apex. Pat was born in Orangeburg, SC to Raymond and Agnes (Croft) Boltin. Pat graduated from North Charleston High School in 1957 and from Palm Beach College RN program in 1976. She enjoyed a successful and satisfying 25 year nursing Career at Rex Hospital in the Same Day Surgery Department.
Pat is preceded in death by her son, Mark Ivor Basham, (2014), and her sister, Kay Boltin Livingston, (2011).
Pat is survived by her husband of 59 years, the love of her life and soul mate, Alfred James Basham, Sons; James and Terry (Good) Basham and Jeffrey Basham. Her Grandchildren; Jarrod and Cherise (Basham) Thomas, Allison Basham, and James Basham, and her Great Grandson, Jacob Thomas. Pat is also survived by her Brother and Sister; Raymond Boltin, of Goose Creek, SC and Ann McDaniel of Orangeburg, SC as well as many, many loving nieces and nephews.
Pat was a longtime member of White Plains United Methodist Church and a 50 plus year member of The Order of the Eastern Star.
Pat loved and cared for her family like no other person on earth. Anyone who knew her loved her and she was the nicest person anyone would ever hope to meet. Pat and Al loved to travel all over the United States following the Atlanta Braves baseball team and Europe, where they collected memories and mementos of their travels. The world is a better place by having Pat Basham here.

A celebration of life will be held at White Plains United Methodist Church on Friday, March 10th at 11 AM with a reception to follow immediately after. Interment will be private. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Remembrance Fund of White Plains United Methodist Church, Cary, NC.
