I am deeply sorry for your loss. Michael was a wonderful guy always smiling and making me laugh. I wish I had known him better but the few times we talked at a cookouts or birthday parties he always had a smile and his goofy personality that made everyone feel at ease around him. I know his children were his world. That is all he talked about how wonderful all of his kids are and how proud he was of each of them. I know he was very happy and excited to be a dad and a stepdad and was so happy and excited to blend his family with Lindsey’s and gain another daughter when they got married that was all he talked about so it was obvious that he really loved each and every one so much. My heart breaks for you all. I will keep you all in my prayers and pray that God brings you comfort. I wish I knew what to say to make your pain go away. ❤️💐

Dear Poncito, 
High school would not have been the same without your silly laugh, great sense of humor and those crazy rides on the back of the truck. You took care of so many of us! Taking us home and acting like our big brother. So many great memories!  Prom! How many did we go to? 2 or 3. The keys being locked inside the van! Going to the lake, the beach!! Always good memories with you Poncito. I can't believe you are gone. You leave behind a plethora of people who truly love you.

This picture is of Lindsey and Mike right after they got engaged at our house on Halloween. It was during Covid, so the kids could not go door to door to trick-or-treat. We decided to do a glow in the dark trick-or-treat egg hunt.  Mike had me make a little mini coffin that had the corpse bride on the front (because Lindsey loves Tim Burton) and we put her ring inside.  He presented it at the bonfire when we were making s’more’s all together.

The first time I met Mike was at a birthday party for Katie. He was there neighbor, he helped the kids with the piñata and cooking on the grill. After the party I found out that he had bought everything for the party so Katie could have a great birthday because Lindsey was going through some hard times. There’s been many situations that I know of where he would step in and help who ever was needed it.

I have so many great memories of Mike, Lindsey, and the kids. Some of the best of them being Fourth of July, where we all would get together, have our own fireworks celebration, cookout, and water balloon fights. There were so many fireworks they would last for hours, It was a true pleasure to watch Mike and Joe set each firework off like two kids that had just robbed a candy store.

Brother,

I have no words. We shared so many great times, since my Junior year when I transferred to Cary High from Apex High. I am glad they changed the school district. After highschool, you lived with me for a bit, we would party, we would talk about anything and everything. My mother, God rest her soul in peace, loved you like a son, loved Amanda like a daughter. I hope my mom and dad met you on the otherside. It seems like yesterday you would randomly park your truck at the house and we would drink beers in the tailgate. I still have our recent conversation in FB messenger about linking up and catching up. Love ya brother. So many thoughts in my mind, I can’t write them all. I reached out to a few folks close to us and they have the same lump in there throat. Rest easy bro, rest easy.
