He was born to Michael and Eleanor (Malone). He is preceded in death by his son, John Michael. He attended James Ford Rhodes High School and received numerous awards in Sports. In 1996 he relocated to North Carolina and continued his career in Telecommunications.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his family, watching football, golf and hockey. He loved listening to his diverse collection of music while at the gym or working in the yard. Mike’s soft spot for dogs extended beyond his own, especially to his grand dogs. He will always be admired for his awesome sense of humor and quick wit, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Mike was someone who was just easy to like!
He is survived by his former wife, Angel, their two sons, Nick (Rachel) Malasca and Eric Malasca of Raleigh, NC, his two sisters, Christine Malasca of Charlotte, NC, and Lynn Malasca-Agee (Todd) of The Villages, FL, a niece, Tara Wolf, a nephew, Matthew Wolf, and a great-nephew, Anthony Wolf, all of Charlotte, NC, and his aunt, Mercy Malasca of Tampa, FL.
A “Celebration of Life” and mass for Michael Malasca will be held on July 22, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Rocco’s Catholic Church, Cleveland, OH. Internment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
