Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara LaPointe, and his son Steven LaPointe.
He is survived by his father, Emerson LaPointe, of Troy, MI; his sons, Michael LaPointe, of Cary; and Daniel LaPointe (Vanessa) of San Diego; his daughter, Leslie LaPointe, of Cary; his girlfriend, Gayle Light; his brother, Jeffrey LaPointe (Lynn); four sisters, Susan Yohe (Warren); Janice Walsh (Neil); Denise LaPointe; and Diane Marasco (Scott), all of MI, five nieces and nephews, as well as one grandchild, Lillian Mae LaPointe.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 28, from 5-7 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 29, at 2:00 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
