We are heartbroken beyond words by the loss of our wonderful son Mike who passed away at age 40. Mike was kind, compassionate and friendly with an incredible sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time at car shows, visiting historical battlefields and going to celebrations and concerts with friends and family. Mike was a Black Belt in Krav Maga. He volunteered at the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC and Habitat for Humanity. Mike attended Hope Community Church in Cary, NC.

An avid WVU fan due to his time there earning his BA in English, Mike continued to follow WVU sports and activities. He began his career at George Mason University in Financial Aid. He later earned an MS in Human Resources from Strayer University. Mike was a member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society and pursued a career in Human Resource Management.

We will always cherish our memories of Mike and hold him close in our hearts. Mike will be deeply missed, but never forgotten, by his family and friends. We love you, Son.

Mike is survived by his parents, James and Nancy, his two brothers, Matthew (Jessica) and Patrick (Heidi), nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Uncle Tommy and his two cousins, Jack and Daniel.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 21, 2025 at 11:30 at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home at 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
