Martha Ellen Horton Cox

She was born in Carroll County, Virginia on November 15, 1930 to Patra and Allen Horton.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Thomas Cox; son, Terry Cox and wife, Pamela Cox and daughter, Tina Cox Worden; four grandchildren, Benjamin Cox and wife, Laura Cox, Thomas Worden and wife, Daniela Worden, Victoriah Wright and wife, Morgan Wright and Timothy Cox; and eight great-grandchildren, Demora Lechette, Zara Cox, Robert Carpenter, Thomas Worden, Antonio Worden, Kalel Cox, Dante Cox and Rosalia Worden.

She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She will be sorely missed.

A funeral service will be held January 4, 2019 at 2PM at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, NC. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A reception will immediately follow the funeral service. Burial will be in Foster Falls, VA at a later date.
