There are so many words to describe Katie. Most of these words are joyous and jovial. She meant something different to all who knew her. Through all of the trials and tribulations, she was the smile that pulled us through. A graduating senior at Cary High, she had already been accepted to Meredith College with a large academic scholarship.
Much of her free-time was devoted to animals, mostly cats. She was a regular at the large cat rescue in Pittsboro and also at two feral cat rescue centers around the Triangle.
We all are going to miss every one of her witty and sarcastic jokes, her off-kilter smile, her deep brown eyes or even those big clonking boots. All Katie would want is for you to smile and help make her dreams come true.
A North Carolina native, she was born in Raleigh on December 19, 1992. Katie is survived by her parents, Tina Taylor of Cary and Roy Taylor of Durham, as well as her brother, Nick Bellamy of Chapel Hill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary. A Celebration of Katie’s Life will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, 110 SE Maynard Road, Cary.
In lieu of flowers, her family would like any donations to be given to Carolina Tiger Rescue, 1940 Hanks Chapel Road, Pittsboro, NC 27312 ([email protected]).
