We are so sorry to hear about the loss of Joey.  We have many fond memories.  We hope you all are doing well.

To my wonderful cousin Joey...thank you for the many laughs and smiles you have blessed us over the years with. The years were way too short, too few. I love you and will miss you so much, yet look forward to the day all of us are together again. Keep watch over us from above with that great smile that would always light up your face. Heaven gained a wonderful angel.

Joey, you were a good soul. Rest easy, dear man.

The kids and I are thinking of all of you at this difficult time.  Tonya, JoAnne and Tony - I'm inspired by you and how you exemplify what it truly means to be family.  Joey was such a kind soul and I will miss hearing Tonya's stories of their mountain trips together.  May those great memories provide comfort during this difficult time.

My prayers go out to you,JoAnne,Tony, and Tonya.Joey and I sure had some good times in our younger years along with the family. I Know he will be missed here but welcomed above.

Joey I would never played golf if it weren't for you. Because of how much I adored and loved to play games with you each and every family gathering I got to learn about and be inspired to play golf which created a wonderful time with papa I bealive you two are playing on of heavens best courses right now and someday I'll join you :)

Always a gentleman and a kind soul. Joey will be missed.

My cousin was the sweetest, most genuine person no matter what life threw at him (and it threw him plenty) he always remained a wonderful person to be around and loved to make people smile. I have many, many fond memories over the years as he was the oldest child growing up and who we always looked up to. Every time I see a Mountain dew or a Snickers bar I think of Joey and probably always will. He introduced me to Reo Speedwagon, The Eagles, Styx, Led Zeppelin and started my huge multi- year middle school fascination of Van Halen by playing Jamie's Crying and the rest of the album when we were all riding in his car. Joey loved to make people smile and had a great laugh I will never forget. His loss is already feeling like a huge void in our lives and those that were blessed to know him. I know my Dad is happy to have "Joe boy" with him in heaven, but we sure are already missing him here.

I am a better person for having known Joey. He is the kindest, most gentle person I have been lucky enough to have had in my life. Joey touched my life and will always be with me.

I had the pleasure of working with Joey for the past 4 years at Harris Teeter. He was always a joy to work with, and one of the hardest working people I know. He went out of his way for everyone and had the upmost respect with everyone he came in contact with. I will truly miss his smiling face and my thoughts are with his family. Joey, you will be missed. Rest easy.

JoeAnne, Tony, and Tonya - Joey was a very special person, and one of the sweetest people I have known. Every time I saw him, he had a beautiful smile on his face and seemed so happy. I am sorry for your loss. I hope you remember me - I was Joey's math teacher. He was always such a delightful and kind young man. I remember one year at May Day - we were going outside to the field for some of the activities. It was cool that morning and I was walking out with Joey and several others and he said "Mrs. H are you cold? " I said "yeah - a little". He turned and went back inside and brought me his jacket to put on. Not many teenage boys are that  considerate. He was very special and will be missed.

Joey was one of the absolute sweetest, gentlest souls I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  He was so fortunate to have the love, support, and care you provided for him his whole life.  He gave back ten-fold and brought joy to those who knew him.  May time help heal your broken hearts.  You are in my continued thoughts and prayers.
