Joey Aaron Johnson

Mr. Joey A. Johnson, son of Mr. Roy and Mrs. Helen Johnson, was born in Salters, SC on December 4, 1963. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in Cary, NC and he was preceded in death by a sister, Ms. Andrea Johnson.

At an early age Joey became a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church. He attended the public school of Williamsburg County and graduated from C.E. Murray High School in 1982. He also attended Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC. In 1983 Joey enlisted into the United States Army.

Joey leaves to cherish his precious memories: His loving wife Karima Johnson of 11 years; two adoring daughters, Delicia Croskey of Greelyville, SC and Taquina Chandler of Florence, SC; two loving sisters, Glenda (Fredrick) Woods of Savannah, GA and Lieutenant Colonel retired Karen Johnson of Cary, NC; one brother, Shantia (TaSharra) Johnson of Charlotte, NC; one grandson, Payton Croskey; three nieces, Traiana and Kiandria Johnson of Orangeburg, SC and Delia Johnson of Charlotte, NC; one uncle, nine aunts; along with a host of cousins, relatives, and dear friends.
