Joan Marie Charbonneau, 80, of Cary, NC and formerly of Greensboro, NC, died May 1, 2012. She was born in New York, NY on July 2, 1931. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and Ancient Order of Hibernians Ladies Auxiliary. She also volunteered for 15 years at Women’s Hospital in Greensboro, NC. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity of spirit.
Joan leaves behind her husband Raymond Charbonneau, her sisters Anne (Joseph) Flood and Barbara (Frank) Carroll, her children, Thomas (Geralyn), Ann (Brian) Dolan, Jayne (William) O’Donnell, Mary Elizabeth (John) McDonnell and Michele (Todd) Wysmuler, 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Jr. (Carroll).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at Saint Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 3008 Old Raleigh Road, Apex, NC.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary, NC from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
