Harold James Totten

Harold J. Totten passed away on March 12, 2024. He was born in Endicott, NY on May 6, 1942. Jim attended Vestal Central High School and Rochester Institute of Technology graduating with a degree in business. There he was a member of Theta Xi fraternity and was selected for Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges 1965-1966.

Married to Margo Totten for 57 years; Jim was the family historian keeping dates and memories alive for all of us. He was surrounded by loved ones when he passed, including nieces and nephews from each of his siblings. His presence is truly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Margo Totten (Harvey) of Cary, NC; his daughter Molly Beth of Fort Mill, SC; son Andrew James (Jennifer) of Roanoke, VA; as well as four grandchildren. Also survived by sister Jeannette McMullen (Edward) of Owego, NY; brother Kirk Totten (Sue) of Huntsville, AL; brother-in-law Spurgeon Hyder of Holly Springs. He was preceded in death by his sister Marjorie Hyder and parents Harold and Lois Totten.

The family will have a memorial at a later date to celebrate his memory.
