Georgeanne was called home to her loving Jesus, Wednesday, August 24. She was 81 and suffered from Alzheimer's disease for several years before her death. Her quick wit and smile endeared her to all who knew her. Her desire to pass her Christian values to others resulted in several mission trips to Mexico and serving numerous local charities.
Georgeanne lived for many years in Cary, NC. Prior to her passing she was a resident of The Retreat of Cary and was loved by their incredible caring staff.
In her professional career, Georgeanne worked as a SCRA, Senior Clinical Research Associate, for several companies in the Raleigh/Cary area. Her work required traveling extensively throughout the United States monitoring doctors who were using the various drugs manufactured by her company.
She was predeceased by her father, George Lawrence BarenBregge, and her mother, Dorothy Janet BarenBregge. She is survived by her husband, Larry D. Kingsley of Cary, NC and two siblings, Linda B. Martino of Rancho Santa Margarita, California and Pete C. Barenbregge of North Venice Florida. Her three sons, Michael J. Hausmann residing in Atlanta, GA, Timothy G. Hausmann residing in Charlotte, NC and Rev. Peter C. Hausmann residing in Atlanta, GA. Also stepdaughter Jennifer K. Campbell of Virginia Beach, VA and stepson Mark A. Kingsley of Apex, NC. She was blessed with twelve grandchildren. Zoe, Rollie, Abhi, Alex, Emery, Kennedy, Christian, Reese, Thomas, Jason, Natalie and Alexis.
Georgeanne was a member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh and enjoyed singing in their choir, served as a Stephen Minister and StepUp Ministry volunteer. She, along with her husband, was a member of the Jim Gale Bible study group. She also attended Cary First Baptist with her husband for several years. Georgeanne enjoyed traveling and, with her husband, was a guest of the Columbia Jazz band on five tours throughout Europe and other countries. Her brother Pete was the conductor of the band and Saxophone virtuoso.
Her Memorial service will be Friday September 16, at 3:00 PM, at White Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1704 Oberlin Rd. Raleigh, NC, with a reception following the service. Interment will be at Historic Oakwood Cemetery Raleigh, NC. located in the Field of Honor for Military veterans and their spouses.
