Dan Cash Hilliard

Dan Cash Hilliard 86, of Cary, retired employee of Progress Energy (CP&L) where he worked for 35 ½ years. Dan was born on May 30, 1924 in Nash County to the late William Hilliard and Repsie Chamblee Hilliard.

Dan served his county in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Dan was preceded in death not only by his parents, but also his wife Annie Ruth Greene Hilliard, his brothers Joe, John, Gus, Bill and Roy Hilliard and sister Reba H. Libby.

Surviving Dan are his son, Danny Hilliard of Gasburg, VA; daughter, Pamela H. Tucker and husband Dan of Raleigh; sisters, Marie Bauer of Towson, MD, Annie Mae Windley of Ellicott City, MD and Beulah Burton of Zebulon, NC; grandchildren, Christopher Hilliard, Daniel Hilliard III, Angela Tucker, Kristina Tucker Dulaney and husband Wesley Dulaney.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Monday, January 10, 2011 at Landmark Free Will Baptist Church, 9011 Chapel Hill Road, Cary, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-2:00pm at the church.
