To all the Carters,
  Our family is deepened with sadness to hear about the loss of your dad. He was a wonderful man we simply adored.  My kids wanted him as their own grandpa!  I'll never forget the box of sponges he gave me when I bought my first house.... they lasted forever!  The world has lost a great man.  Our sympathy, love and prayers are with all. To The Carter Family,

I worked with your Dad for many years and am very sorry for your loss.  Chet was an inspiration to me and many others. I never met anyone that was as proud of his family as your Dad was. For many years, your Dad and I had lunch together every Friday. He loved his fish fries.  On many occasions he would also have a large pot of Polish sausage slowly cooking on the stove in the shop and serve his customers fresh sausage on Rye bread with Weber's mustard. Chet was also a very fine craftsman and machinist. He solved many problems for me and kept our factory running with his ability to invent and respond to any situation.
I will never forget what he had done for me and will always have a special place in my heart for him. 
Please take care and celebrate his life, he was a hell of a Man.

My deepest condolences to all the Carters. Mr. Carter was one of the alder place originals.  I'll always remember him.

I was sorry to hear that Uncle Chet passed away. I remember him from the family picnics and he always made me smile. Rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the family. It is truly a blessing Chester lived a long life because so many people will never see his age. It reminds me of Psalms 90:10 which tells us how our life span is 70 or 80 years. Cherish all his memories forever in your heart.
