Billie Lynda Lorenz Lorenz Hubner

Billie Lynda Lorenz Hubner, 67, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Born in Raleigh, NC at Mary Elizabeth Hospital, she was the daughter of Edna C. and Edgar R. Lorenz. Billie grew up and attended school in Cary. She graduated from Cary High School and received her BA from State University of New York at New Paltz and MSW from Adelphi University School of Social Work in NY. She worked both in NY and NC as a Clinical Social Worker in Individual, Child and Family Therapy.

Billie had a special interest in the Irish Wolfhound which she loved all of her life and was a member of several Irish Wolfhound clubs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her cherished husband, George Christopher (Chris) Hubner, III and several beloved aunts and uncles.

Billie is survived by her brother-in-law, David and wife, Michael and their son, Benjamin of Wellesley, MA; stepson, David and wife, Ruth and their children, Scott and Matthew of Fort Knox, KY; stepson, Andrew and wife, Sarah and their children, Henry, August and Eleanor of Bronx, NY; stepson, Stephen and wife, Lindsey of Midway, GA; and several cousins.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
