She was born on July 29, 1937 in Medora, Illinois a daughter of Corinne Dougherty.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Alan Wood; children, Gregg Leard of Kentucky, Eric Leard of North Carolina, Corinne Adam of Arizona, and Alan Wood of North Carolina; grandchildren, Karianne Leard, Tyler, Dylan and Logan Adam, and Alayna Wood. She is also survived by her sisters, Kaye, Georgine, Peggy, Leila and Glenda; and brothers, Ken, Lumen and Gary.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. Visitation will be from Noon until the time of the service. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Dallas. PA.
