Willadean Billie Moore

Billie is preceded in death by her parents; husband Neal Moore; son, Billy Moore; sisters, Lillian (Roy) Abernathy, Bessie (Rusty) O’Neil; brothers, Emanuel (Evelynn) Martin, Ed (Bennie) Martin, Buford (Wilma) Martin; niece, Cathy Nelson and nephew, Marion T. Abernathy. She is survived by her nieces, Linda (Bob) Zehe, Betty Coursey Dickey, Ruth Wilson, Charlotte Martin and Joanne Abernathy; nephew, Edward (Charlotte) Martin and Harold Nelson; also numerous great nieces and nephews.

Billie was a lifelong member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Cartersville. She worked at EZ Mills and Union Carbide. She and her husband Neil owned Moore’s Market in Cartersville for many years. Billie had a great love for people and she never met a Stranger.

The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Maple Ridge HCC, Amedisys Hospice, Highlands Senior Living and Debra Foster for the wonderful care given to Billie.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 22, 2024 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. The interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Billie to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Leukemia Society.
