Wesley Drew Bassett

Wesley Drew Bassett, (39), of Acworth, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on February 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Wesley was born to Christie Rogers and David Bassett, on July 2, 1984, in Marietta, Georgia. He was an amazing father, caring friend, a devout Georgia Bulldog fan, loved to travel, and make people laugh. He led a very successful career at The Home Depot Inc. as a Senior Manager. Above all else, he was a loving and devoted husband and father.

Wesley is survived by his wife, Diana, and their three children: Hudson Drew (11), Carter Wilson (8), and Anna Maria (5); parents, Christie (Hal) Rogers and David Bassett; grandmother, Mary Ruth Bassett; brother, Jeremy (Katie) Bassett; sisters, Holly (LaRay) Harris, Lindsay (Jeremy) Maxwell, Tiffany (Scott) MacMurdo, and Brandelyn (Chad) Shirley; 20 nieces and nephews along with many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, Bobby and Hazel Wilson as well as his aunt, Janice Keith.

While Wesley left us far too soon, his impact on our lives will be forever cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege and honor to know him. We have the comfort of knowing that he is in heaven with his Heavenly Father.

A visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville, Georgia.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville, Georgia. The family would love everyone that is able to wear red and black in honor of his love for the Georgia Bulldogs.
